Conditions for registration and warranty extension

The extended manufacturer’s warranty is granted exclusively under the following conditions. DÜRR DENTAL SE expressly reserves the right to request appropriate proof of compliance with these terms and conditions. Failure to meet any of these conditions will result in the voluntary warranty extension being completely void.

1. Registration

• The device registration form must be completed and submitted correctly and in full within three months of purchasing the product.
• The warranty extension is subject to DÜRR DENTAL SE’s terms and conditions of sale, delivery and payment. These can be found here.

2. Scope of the warranty

• The extended manufacturer’s warranty only covers defects that were already present at the time the device was delivered to the end customer.
• It does not apply to damage or defects caused by improper handling, external influences, normal wear and tear or lack of maintenance.
• This warranty does not replace the warranty stipulated in SE’s terms and conditions of sale, but supplements it voluntarily.

3. Requirements for the warranty extension

The warranty extension will only be granted if all of the following conditions are met:

1. Use of original parts: Only original parts and accessories supplied by Dürr Dental are used.
2. Approved cleaning agents and disinfectants: Only cleaning agents and disinfectants approved by Dürr Dental are used.
3. Professional operation: Any installation or re-installation work, maintenance, modifications, upgrades and repairs are carried out by Dürr Dental or by a specialised dealer authorised by Dürr Dental.
4. Proper operation: The device is used and operated in accordance with the installation and operating instructions.
5. Proof of maintenance: The dealer or customer can provide suitable documentation to demonstrate that the specified maintenance as well as cleaning and disinfection cycles were carried out in accordance with the guidelines provided by Dürr Dental. Dürr Dental reserves the right to request proof of maintenance or use of cleaning and disinfection products. 
   Without this proof, the warranty extension will not be granted.

4. Packaging and transport

• The original packaging must be retained for returns, as it is the only packaging that guarantees optimum transport protection.
• Dürr Dental does not accept any liability for transport damage caused by inadequate packaging.
• The dealer/customer bears the cost for the return transport to Dürr Dental. After completed warranty services, the return shipment of the item to the dealer/customer is free of charge.
• Important note: Keep packaging materials out of reach of children.

5. Warranty exclusion

The following in particular are excluded from the extended warranty:

• Wear parts (e.g. membranes for Tornado, Primo, Duo, Trio, Quattro, PTS devices)
• Services provided as part of an on-site visit by a service technician (working time/travel time)
• Transport and packaging costs for return transport
• Handling costs incurred through dental specialist dealers
• Maintenance parts according to maintenance schedules in the download centre at duerrdental.net
• Consumables
