DÜRR DENTAL on the way to CO2 neutrality!
As a 3rd generation family business, we are aware of our high responsibility for future generations - our children and grandchildren. Therefore, we have defined sustainability as one of our strategic goals. We are on the way to CO2 neutrality by implementing targeted sustainable measures for our buildings and production plants, in the area of mobility and communication, and in the development and use of many of our products.
With our sustainability measures, we endeavour to make a contribution to preserving a world worth living in for our children.

Efficient solutions for dental practices
Solutions for dental practices need to be efficient, user-friendly, and well thought out today. That's why we are continuously working to reduce energy consumption and resource requirements. The VistaScan Mini View 2.0 uses around 40% less energy than its predecessor, while the Tyscor generation of suction units uses even up to 75% less.
Energy efficiency with Tyscor suction system systems
With their centrifugal technology, the new Tyscor suction systems set new standards in terms of performance and efficiency: latest measurements by the Fraunhofer Institute confirm up to 75% lower energy consumption compared to side channel blowers. An electronic control system offers new options for operational reliability, scalability and adaptation to individual practical conditions.
VistaScan Mini View 2.0
The VistaScan Mini View 2.0 reduces energy consumption by approximately 40% compared to its predecessor. In addition, our imaging plate scanners are manufactured at our Gechingen site, where measures such as energy-efficient building renovations, photovoltaic systems, and the use of renewable energy sources have been implemented. The Gechingen production site has been CO₂-neutral since early 2023.
Durable devices - Silver Airline compressors
The possibility of modular upgrades makes our Silver Airline compressors in the tandem variant a flexible solution with the option of more. When you expand your practice, you add a unit and thus double the power reserves. An intelligent control system also enables parallel operation of two tandem compressors on one compressed air line, which further increases the power reserves.
VistaSoft Monitor – IoT solution for networked dental practices
VistaSoft Monitor offers a time-saving solution for monitoring your practice equipment. Remote monitoring and maintenance can reduce the need for on-site service calls in many cases. Early alerts from condition monitoring support efficient maintenance and repairs and can help extend the service life of your equipment.

Energy efficiency in production
DÜRR DENTAL is implementing measures to reduce energy consumption and increase energy efficiency in production. These include the use of energy-efficient heating systems, photovoltaic systems, the energy-efficient renovation of all buildings according to KfW standards, and the modernization of lighting. These measures have already reduced primary energy consumption by 70%.
CO2-neutral production site for digital imaging
At our Gechingen site, we manufacture products such as phosphor storage plate scanners and X-ray units. The building has undergone energy-efficient renovations through insulation measures and the installation of new windows. Energy is supplied in part by a photovoltaic system and the use of pellets as a renewable fuel. Additionally, the lighting has been converted to LED technology to further reduce energy consumption. The site has been CO₂-neutral since early 2023.
Our path to energy-efficient production
At our headquarters in Bietigheim-Bissingen, we are also continuously working to reduce energy consumption. Measures such as building insulation, expanding our photovoltaic system, and switching to LED lighting all contribute to this effort. Among other products, this site manufactures the energy-efficient Tyscor suction systems and the modular Silver Airline compressors.
Packaging with reduced material usage
When shipping our products, we prioritize reducing packaging material and using recyclable and recycled materials. For new products, we focus on avoiding unnecessary material and ensuring the packaging is recyclable.
For the VistaScan Mini View 2.0, we reduced the overall packaging volume by more than half. The shipping carton is made from paper sourced from FSC-certified forestry. The foam is made from 95% recycled material and has been optimized to use 65% less material while continuing to provide reliable protection for the product.
Awarded the GoGreen Plus certificate
We use DHL GoGreen Plus for international air freight to ship our products. By using sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), we were able to reduce CO₂ emissions by 24% between January 1, 2024 and December 31, 2024.
This saving was verified and confirmed by an independent auditor – another step towards more climate-friendly logistics.
