VistaScan Image Plates

VistaScan Image Plates: get the right image first time

Make sure you capture what you are looking for first time – even if there are anatomical difficulties

VistaScan Image Plates can be positioned much more easily in the mouth of the patient than sensors. Many anatomical regions can be very difficult to reach with sensors for intraoral X-ray imaging, such as the mesial side of the fourth tooth (first premolar) or the entire length of the canine. The further you move the sensor in the mesial direction, the more difficult positioning becomes on account of the roof of the palatal area and the jaw arch. Similarly, the lower molars are also often difficult to reach with sensors if the floor of the mouth is flat or on account of exostosis.

Your benefits

✔ Less stress when working on the patient
✔ Less repositioning required
✔ Less need for repeat images
✔ Increased diagnostic scope
✔ Anatomical difficulties can be overcome to reach areas that would be impossible for a sensor
✔ Faster learning curve, even for inexperienced users
